Christmas Tag No. 2 for C.C. Designs

Did you ever wonder just how something is done and then blam-o your brain figures it out.  I have watched a few videos and thought modelling paste looks fun but can I really make it look nice- Answer is Yes You Can!  The white paste spreads like gritty butter and gives a wonderful texture to any project I have seen or used it on.

I used Rodney's Ride to create this tag which can be found at C.C. Designs.  He has got to be the cutest reindeer!  My mind immediately went to a sentiment for a card- Got Keys?.......Will Travel!  I was lucky enough to grab the Doodlebug Designs: frosty Friends Paper Pack which I used to paper piece Rodney's Car.  I Copic coloured the image on C.C. designs 110 lb paper and popped it up on dimensionals for added punch and pizazz:). I just used a sponge dauber to add some color to the background and used Amy R's Freezin' Season to stamp the sentiment.  I used Doodlebug Designs Lily White Sequins to add a little bling. I think this little guy would capture the heart of any present lover:)

This was an especially fun tag to put together because I loved paper piecing the reindeer car and it was fun to play with stuff I had kinda forgot about (modelling paste). I hope you too get to grab a product that has been sitting in a drawer and dust it off.  Have a Crafty day folks and remember to come back tomorrow for the next clue in our 12 Days of Christmas Tags.
Cheers :)

  2. Super cute tag, you must have used a stencil with the paste? What did you color the background with? So fabulous.

    1. Hello KopyKat! Yes I did use a stencil from crafters workshop- 6x6 bubbles or circles. I colored the background with stampin up hum.....(light blue all over and almost Navy) around the edges. Thanks for your interest!
